About
I’m a proud Husband, Father, and Grandfather with supportive and loving family and friends. After serving as a Naval Officer for 33 years, I now do what I love the most about my leadership journey, developing others through coaching. The journey taught me many leadership lessons that I took with me to the private sector and several entrepreneurial ventures. I had a successful career developing leaders, building high performing teams, strategy, planning, process improvement, organizational change and shaping cultures.
This path was paved through informal learning, trial and error, mentors, and coaches. However, as a life-long learner, I expanded my knowledge via an extensive academic path which I continue to extend by pursuing a doctoral program in Strategic Leadership. I am certified as an Executive Coaching, Strategic Leadership, Lean 6 Sigma, Scrum Master, and various technical certifications.
Upon retiring from the Navy, I experienced life in a startup and my own entrepreneurship endeavors in Coaching, Consulting, and Real Estate. My coaching experience is in the areas of organization, leadership, teams, sports, life and health.
I am a world traveler who is fascinated by languages and cultures. I lived 10 years overseas in the Middle East, Asia, and Europe. I am an avid reader, runner and love learning languages.
As I continue to grow, I’m committed to doing what I’ve been most passionate about, helping others develop their true potential. Through coaching, we help leaders discover real solutions through assessments, active inquiry coaching process, and leverage empowering frameworks and tools. You will gain clarity and purpose, improve leadership skills, and shape strong teams. My life philosophy can be summed up here: Love God, find your north star; maintain a growth mindset; listen with intention; don’t take yourself too seriously; quiet your mind; give without expectations; stay true to your values.
Meaning of Olympia Leadership Logo: The log was inspired by my late father’s desire to open a company by the name Olympia. The origin of the word in Greek comes from Mount Olympus “the home of the Greek gods” which is the main feature in the logo. The mountain represents the planned and unplanned challenges that we face in our personal and professional lives. Like climbing a mountain, the vision and goals that we set require determination, planning, perseverance and support. The star over the mountain represents our North Star, which are the values we use to underpin our purpose, vision and goals. The summit is the vision we have of the future. The individuals climbing the mountain symbolize a team, and the leader in the rear illustrates a Servant Leader supporting and encouraging the team. This reflects how I approach life and the leadership style I strive to represent. My coaching represents this leadership philosophy in that I support my clients realize and maximize their potential through supportive inquiry, empowerment, and providing resources they can use to tap into their superpowers.
